About Me
Westwood Highschool, Austin TX
August 2013 - May 2017
In my early days of high-school digital art peeked my interest. While in school my electives conceited on nothing but digital art a media classes were i learned basic and advanced concepts in animation, design, and video production as well as web design. In my free time I practiced my art specifically in Adobe After Effects were I gained a certain proficiency with it.
Austin Community College, Austin TX
Associate of Applied Science, Motion Graphics Specialization
August 2017 - July 2020
In college despite being well versed with After Effects, my knowledge got expanded further by taking classes in design along with several classes in motion graphics. In my classes, we learned more advanced techniques. We also focused on the creative process and workflow pipeline for the motion design field. The final two semesters were dedicated purely for working on group projects giving me good experience of working in a team environment. I was able to demonstrate leadership and work cooperatively within a group. When covid hit in the middle of some of these projects it added another level of realism by introducing a need to adapt to immediate change. We successfully accomated to online correspondence and other outside influences on the projects.
Self Teaching
Prior the college and under lockdown for the most part, I continued learning and teaching myself. I managed to teach myself game development using Unreal Engine 4 and 5. My knowledge on 3D graphics for motion graphics had lent itself well to picking up this skill quickly. In addition to Unreal, I also taught myself Blender and Zbrush despite only having used Cinama 4D prior.
Experience
Both in and after school, I would pick up motion graphics projects from musicians and internet content creators. These projects were usually small blips and animated logos that crossed styles and purpose.
Ever since I opened After Effects for the first time, I have always created something even if its just for fun. Not everything I've made has seen the light of day but I always practice new techniques, styles, and anything I see that accomplishes my goals. My pieces have been pushed to Instagram and share amongst friends.
